After-sales support key to a long product life

When investing in a fuel management system or fuel pump, fleet operators must do their research into who they are buying from. Not all manufacturers offer after-sales support services, which may leave you having to use a third-party company for all your maintenance needs. This may lead to you receiving a lower standard of support than you deserve.

As the manufacturer, rather than just a distributor, you can rest assured that Merridale has a total commitment to the life of their product and not just the sales process. Their staff are fully trained to understand your requirements and have access to all repair and upgrade history, so unlike many third-party companies, they have full knowledge of your systems.

On the rare occasions that an emergency repair is required, Merridale’s service team always have genuine Merridale replacement parts available. However, a third-party may have to wait for new parts to be delivered which could result in a long wait to have vital repairs completed. With the housing units on Merridale’s products being designed to ensure that internal components are easily accessible for maintenance and repair, as well as being easy to update, it is unlikely that a breakdown will result in a new system having to be fitted.

To help avoid any unwanted or surprise bills, Merridale offers two annual care and protection services so you can rest assured that your equipment will be taken care of. For a fixed annual cost, you will benefit from inclusive service calls for wear-and-tear repairs, with costs of parts, labour, and travel covered, as well as receiving priority attendance. Their professional on-site inspection and calibration of fuelling equipment, which includes pump calibration and annual multi-point inspection and reports, helps to reduce unexpected breakdowns and improves system efficiency which in turn increases the equipment’s operating life.

As a Merridale customer, you will be given access to a suite of online ‘how-to’ videos, which will assist you through the most common queries relating to the equipment or software. For any other issues, Merridale offers a dedicated support line where you can talk to a member of the helpdesk.
